Week of 10/20: We talked about the Enlightenment as one of the causes of the French Revolution. You need to know what the Age of Enlightenment was (Age of Reason). We completed this chart Early in the week we learned about the English Civil War...this is one way people fight against a monarch with too much power Also, see below

Week of Sept.29 Our map quiz this week is on Africa on 10/3 check out the last slide for help. If you missed class on Monday...you're alright. If you missed class Tuesday we did a mapping activity...here are the maps your instructions are below:

Many students mix up the slave trade and the Columbian Exchange. Your job is to create a map for each that will help you remember the important aspects of each. Please include:
1.The routes taken and continents/important countries
2.The important commodities exchanged/traded (you don’t need to write every single good…just the important ones)
3.A small explanation as to the difference between the two (this only needs to be on one map)

Week of Sept. 8
We have a quiz over South America on Thursday (3rd, and 7th hours) and Friday (4th and 6th hours). Here is something to help you study
We discussed the importance of the printing press by filling in the flow chart on slide 3 of this powerpoint (use page 47 in your book) we also read about 5 individuals whose ideas (spread through the printing press) changed the world (see slide 4 of the same powerpoint)!


We started our discussion of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. Check out slide 3-5 (notes in the note section of the powerpoint)



Week Of Sept. 1:
Did you miss the continents quiz? You have until the end of next week (9/12) to make that up. you MAY NOT do this in class. Come see me during CT or before or after school (make an appointment)
